Fortress of Narzod—a rock n roll band from the northern suburbs of Melbourne, Australia. A sonic assault from the outer reaches of the most darken psyche. A power trio brought together through a love of early 70s hard rock (The Stooges, Black Sabbath, MC5, Blue Oyster Cult, Alice Cooper, Funkadelic), 70s punk (Ramones, Dictators, Radio Birdman), all versions of stoner rock (from Electric Wizard to Dead Meadow to Monster Magnet) and anything in between, with the purpose of creating noise and lots of it.

Our debut EP Power in the Hands of Fools now available from the website and at our gigs. Available from the Fortress of Narzod Shop

NEWS:

Name another band named after a retro computer game who has a member who holds an official Twin Galaxies world record of the same game. Neither can I. Andrew now holds the world record for Fortress of Narzod on the Vectrex system. I bet Billy Mitchell can't pull of a bitching solo on the guitar. Andrew we salute you. Click here to see the Twin Galaxies Scoreboard.

To celebrate the Queen's Birthday (which queen is up to you, I'm going with Cersei Lannister or possibly Ghuleh the Zombie Queen) we're doing a gig at YaYas on the 9th June. Super lineup of fuzzed out rock to boot - see our gigs page.

We got a nice review from the dudes at Vincebus Eruptum magazine - the premier stoner rock zine out there. Buy it - it's a great read.

Thanks for everyone who came down to the launch and to the good folk at Slam Day that plugged the show. Thanks to Paul on Livewire (RRR FM) for playing the EP (right after the Blue Oyster Cult!) and Ruby on Garageland (PBS FM) for the same.We had a ball (fnarr, fnarr) and the Seminal Rats were awesome as usual. Here's a review of the show

First review of our EP from the good folk at the Obelisk. Which rocks. Both the review and the site. Read it here

In the immortal words of Ian Faith, we've had substantial reports of airplay. Thanks to Leapster and Stu on All Over the Shop (Triple R FM). They hold the distinction of being the first DJs to give Power in the Hands of Fools a spin. Kev from Shock Treatment and Phil from Sunglasses After Dark (both at PBS FM) have followed suit. Cheers, gents

An unknown dedicated fan has put together a youtube film clip for (Now) There's No Way Out. Wicker Man fans might recognise the footage. Thanks to the unknown Mystic Hurler
